The Detroit Tigers Podcast #35: Talking Tigers with Lynn Henning, Part I
Welcome to The Detroit Tigers Podcast, the podcast for Tigers fans, by Tigers fans. This is Episode #35, a 27-minute podcast about the Detroit Tigers recorded live from St. Simons Island, Georgia and Scottsdale, Arizona U.S.A.
In this episode we talk with Lynn Henning from The Detroit News. We spoke to Lynn last week as he enjoyed some R&R.
In addition to covering the Tigers and other pro and college sports, Lynn is the author of several popular sports books including:
- Spartan Seasons II: More Triumphs and Turmoil of Michigan State Sports
- Bottom of the Ninth, which he authored with Kirk Gibson, is a fun, coffee-table style book that was published in 1997.
- Spartan Seasons: The Triumphs and Turmoil of Michigan State Sports

This was pretty enjoyable…looking forward to the 2nd half of the interview. I appreciate your devotion to the team even during the depressing end of the tigerless postseason. You are truly a diehard.

I agree totally with Caleb I really enjoyed that first section and look forward to the next one. I’m quite a fan and live in the UK….I just get so sick and tired of UK football and cold weather.

Thanks for the blog. It is difficult these days. I remember becoming a fan after seeing Magnum PI wearin the hat.
Have a great weekend.
